OREANDA-NEWS. July 05, 2012. I.T. Co. has finished the procedure of implementation of the automated directory system at the international airport of Khabarovsk. The project was realized within preparation for the summit of the Pacific Forum “APEC Vladivostok-2012”. The new system of passengers informing will allow to provide a high level of international flights servicing.

The international airport of Khabarovsk (New) is the largest air hub in the Far East Federal district, and also the most important element of the transport infrastructure connecting all remote regions of the Far East among themselves, the central part of Russia and the countries of the Asian and Pacific region.

On the threshold of the largest international event “APEC Vladivostok-2012” for which the Khabarovsk airport is the reserve transport hub, the management made the decision to carry out necessary modernization of infrastructure facilities, including creation of the modern system of informing for essential improvement of quality of passengers servicing.

By results of the competition, implementation of the project was entrusted to I.T. Group of companies having experience of equipment of the international airports Domodedovo and Koltsovo by the systems of visual and sound notification of passengers and employees (works were carried out by the Aplan company being part of I.T. Group).

The introduced automated directory system provides visual and sound informing of passengers and the staff of the airport about the current situation in the territory of the transport terminal: about registration, landing and luggage delivery, changes in the schedule, taking-off and landing of aircrafts, emergency situations and services offered at the air terminal. Visual information is displayed on 35 electronic boards in two languages – Russian and English.

Translation of messages is made at the same time via 4 sound channels that excludes delays in information transfer in those zones of terminals where it is necessary. All messages are broadcast in Russian and English.

The system is designed with the high degree of reliability and steadily functions in a 24х7 mode. The automated workplaces, which provide ample opportunities for management and monitoring of system functioning, have been developed for the staff of the airport. In the long term each workplace will be optimized for servicing of the allocated zone of the airport.
