OREANDA-NEWS. July 24, 2012. As an official sponsor of Scuderia Ferrari, Kaspersky Lab was instrumental in bringing the world famous racing team to the Russian capital to participate in the spectacular Moscow City Racing show that took place on 14-15 July under the Kremlin walls.

“This is the third season that Kaspersky Lab has sponsored the Ferrari racing team. In that time we’ve been constantly developing and expanding our partnership. We have also taken every opportunity to promote Formula One in Russia. So, last year we scored a major coup by securing the Ferrari team’s involvement in the most grandiose auto show in Russia – Moscow City Racing. For the second year running we are proud to present the team to Russian motorsport fans,” said Eugene Kaspersky, CEO of Kaspersky Lab.

This year Scuderia Ferrari was represented by Giancarlo Fisichella driving the famous Ferrari F10 racing car. A Ferrari 458 Challenge also participated in the racing show, driven by Alexander Moiseev of the Kaspersky Motorsport racing team who competes in the Ferrari Challenge Europe series, and is also Managing Director of Kaspersky Lab Italy and Mediterranean.

Commenting on the event, Giancarlo Fisichella said: “It is a great honor for me to come back to such an extraordinary event as Moscow City Racing, representing Scuderia Ferrari. Last year I drove a Ferrari Formula One car for the first time ever in Moscow and it was really exciting thanks to the especially warm welcome of the Russian fans. My gratitude goes to the sponsor Kaspersky Lab and to Ferrari who gave me this unforgettable opportunity. I wish a bright future, not only for this interesting and challenging event in the heart of Moscow, but also for motorsport throughout Russia.”
