OREANDA-NEWS. July 30, 2012. Yuriy Terentyev is appointed General Counsel of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih. He will be responsible for enforceability of ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih within laws of Ukraine, protection of interests of the plant in economy, land and property. Mr Terentyev will succeed Nadezhda Yalimova left the plant to go on retirement.

Yuriy Terentyev joined ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih in April 2012 as Deputy General Counsel of the plant. For 10 years Mr Terentyev worked for international trade company METRO Cash and Carry Ukraine as the Head of Legal Department, Head of Financial Control, Director of Development Coordination Department and Director for Control of Compliance with Laws and Corporate Standards. Main achievements of Mr Terentyev during his work for METRO Cash and Carry Ukraine include complete legal support of Ukrainian market entry of METRO and ensuring of complex legal and administrative support of 25 investment projects in construction and use of shopping centers with total budget of approx. €500 million.

Yuriy Terentyev started to work in 1995 for Ukrainian legal firm DML- Law Consulting Firm, where he was responsible for representation of the company at ordinary and arbitration courts, counseling in tax, foreign economic affair, labor relations law and contract work. In 1997-2000 Mr Terentyev led enforceability of American pharmaceutical company Bristol-Myers Squibb Ukraine. In 2000-2002 he worked as legal counsel for international tobacco company JT International Company Ukraine.

Yuriy Terentyev is Master of International Law, graduated Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, Institute of International Affairs (private international law). He holds a degree in finance from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
