OREANDA-NEWS. July 31, 2012. In July 2012, JSOC Bashneft’s own retail network currently comprising 497 filling stations completed the full transition to the sales of gasoline and diesel fuel complying with Euro 5 standard.

In line with the Technical Regulations, from January 1, 2016, the compliance of motor fuels with the emission class 5 standards will be compulsory in Russia. Meanwhile, consistent upgrade of the refining facilities enables Bashneft to provide the domestic market with high quality fuels, which comply with the strictest environmental standards, thus facilitating the reduction of hazardous emissions to the atmosphere.

Using of Euro 5 gasoline enables to minimize the amount of substances hazardous to health in the exhaust of gasoline driven vehicles. For example, in the Republic of Bashkortostan these emissions amount to 65% of all the atmospheric emissions (as reported by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment of the Republic of Bashkortostan).
