OREANDA-NEWS. July 31, 2012. A new “Lenta” hypermarket was opened in Cheboksary on July 21st. Total area of the store is 12 000 sq. m, 7 500 sq. m. of which is a selling space. A parking lot for customers contains 455 parking slots. As all other hypermarkets of the retail chain “Lenta” in Cheboksary will be operating 24 hours 7 days a week.

240 employees – city residents who have been employed in connection with a new opening - will help customers to shop. The company is planning to employ another 100 people.

The new “Lenta” has over 18 000 goods including ones from local suppliers. “In each region we focus on development of cooperation with local manufacturers and suppliers in the first place”, - sais the head of Purchasing department of the Central region Denis Ivanov. According to him “Lenta” in Cheboksary signed agreements with the following companies: “Yadrinmoloko”, “Shuba”, “Accord” factory, “Cheboksarsky Bread Plant No. 2” and other. Local goods are marked with a special price label and a customer can easily find it on the shelves.

“Lenta” in Cheboksary will also offer customers a broadened assortment of fruit and vegetable and over 1 000 items of decorative cosmetics. At the checkout aisle there will be a new cafe under own brand “Lenta Homemade”.

Talking about advantages of “Lenta” over other players of the market Alexey Gareev – the Head of the store in Cheboksary – said that most of the customers are people with rational attitude towards spending money, therefore savings and low prices currently offered by “Lenta” are of much interest in this time and these are the basic aspects for each customer.
