OREANDA-NEWS. July 31, 2012. The team of JSC  Tugnui open-pin mine has achieved record breaking productivity in overburden removing operations using Busyrus 495HD No. 1 excavator equipped with a 41.3 M3 bucket.

The achieved monthly productivity of 1,782,000 M3 is record breaking not only for Busyrus excavators employed at JSC  Tugnui open-pit mine but also among other similar machines of this class used at mining sites across the world!

Such an achievement is evidence of the right choice of machinery, well arranged service, careful labour management and high professionalism of specialists at Tugnui open-pit mine.

Operation of the excavator, unique in its specifications, was entrusted to highly skilled and profoundly experienced operators.

"Within the two and a half years of operation the excavator has accumulated a record of consistently superb performance", says the team leader Alexander Kashirin. "And such a result only proves my statement. I feel overjoyed as I realize that no one before us has ever achieved such productivity indicators. The world record was facilitated by a responsible and competent approach to their work by all the specialists involved in preparation, excavation and transportation of the overburden."

The BUSYRUS 495HD excavator was purchased as part of the long-term investment program launched by SUEK to reequip the existing machinery and ramp up the production capacity at Tugnui open-pit mine. Eventually, such economic policy led to today's global recognition.
