OREANDA-NEWS. August 3, 2012. In the RSE "Aktau International Sea Commercial Port" in the conference hall held the meeting of Working Group about development RO-RO vessels transportation by Caspian Sea and realization project block train "Silk Wind", organized by Permanent Secretariat of the Intergovernmental Commission (IGC) "TRACECA" with participant of representatives from member-countries of Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Republic of Turkey, as well as technical assistance to project managing LOGMOS.

Opening speech to participants of the meeting delivered by Aktau Port management and high-ranking representatives of the TRACECA member-countries, European Commission and LOGMOS.

In the course of meeting was considered issues in accordance with agenda and presented report-presentation by head of delegations, include RSE "AISCP", SRC "Caspiy", SEZ "Seaport Aktau", JSC "NMSO Kazmortransflot". At the same time, official position on the development multimodal transportation in the frame of TRACECA corridor expressed by state transport department and railways representatives of countries participating in the project, as well as maritime shipping companies.

IGC TRACECA National Secretary informed participants about ongoing work on development transport – communication complex and cooperation in the frame of "TRACECA".

Also were discussed main issues, including:

- Strategy of IGC TRACECA in the development international transport corridor "Europe – Caucasus - Asia" (TRACECA) for the period up to 2015;

- Increasing the competitiveness of the TRACECA corridor;

- Further steps to reform the TRACECA corridor;

- Execution Action plan on realization development Concept of international motor tracking in the frame of IGC TRACECA.

Technical assistance project management introduce detailed information about existing problem points which are preventing to increase traffic in the frame of TRACECA corridor and underlined necessity for member-countries to take measures for implementation advanced practice in the logistic and multimodal transportation.

The meeting held in the friendly and warm atmosphere.

Following the meeting parties preliminary agreed to hold next meeting in Georgia.
