OREANDA-NEWS. August 13, 2012. A presentation of TBC Bank’s anniversary projects was held at TBC Bank.

TBC Bank’s CEO Vakhtang Butskhrikidze revealed to journalists all the projects for which TBC Bank plans to implement to celebrate its 20 year anniversary. He also summarized the anniversary projects TBC bank has already carried out month-by-month.

TBC Bank dedicated its anniversary to its close support of Georgian arts and culture. With this purpose, the bank implemented 7 Unique Projects in 7 Months.

January –  12 Photo-Essays:  TBC Bank gave start to the original project, 12 essays from 12 authors. The photo illustrations to these short stories were created by 12 famous photographers. Book-diaries and wall-calendars were made from these photo-essays and were distributed to over 10, 000 people.

February – Film Project: 12 creative teams are shooting  12 short films according to 12 essays. These short films will collectively be made into one full movie and the public will see its premiere on TBC Bank’s anniversary, on December 17th, 2012.

March – Restoration  of Old Films:  TBC Bank, together withTskheli Shokoladi magazine began a project aptly entitled A Collection of Georgian Films. The aim of the project was to restore old Georgian films and transfer them to digital format. Four Georgian films have already been restored within the framework of this project. 

April – TBC Art GalleryTBC Art Gallery, a new modern art space, was opened inside of TBC Bank’s head office. The aim of the gallery is to provide the public a place where they can enjoy works of high artistic value and to assist Georgian artists with their integration into the global consciousness. The new gallery will host only four exhibitions each year. TBC Art Gallery has already hosted an exhibition featuring the work of Georgian artists Zurab (Pako) Nizharadze and Mamia Malazonia.

May – TBC Artarea:  Through the initiative and financing of TBC Bank, the web-portal www.artarea.ge was launched.  The web-portal represents the only large-scale internet television portal that has a strictly defined focus: culture, culture and once again culture… Artarea TV covers all fields of art: cinema, theatre, music, pop culture, jazz, literature and modern art.

June – SABA literary competition:  SABA’s 10th Annual literary competition was held successfully. The ceremony revealed the best books and authors of 2011 in nine nominations.

July – House of Electronic Books  SABA:   TBC Bank presented the House of Electronic Books Saba. This is an innovative web-space located at www.saba.com.ge and offers electronic versions of the best  modern literature, featuring the laureate works by the various Saba competition winners over the years.

This is the list of all large projects that TBC Bank has carried out to date in its celebration of its 20 year anniversary.

TBC Bank’s anniversary events will continue and on August 11th at 20:00 in the Music and Art Centre of Batumi, TBC Bank will present a modern version of the popular musical Melodies of the Vera District

Famous French choreographer Reda Bentifor is the director of the musical and Nikoloz Rachveli is the musical director of the spectacle. The musical’s decorator and stage artist is famous Argentinean artist Santiago (Tato) Fernandez.

In addition, TBC Bank will offer the public many other novelties from August until the end of the year. In October, a live concert will be held in the open-air yard of TBC Bank’s office. During TBC Bank’s December anniversary, TBC Bank will present a film shot by young Georgian directors. Its premiere will be held on December 17th.
