Samsung Electronics, a world leader in digital technology and digital convergence, has released Phereo 3D Photo, an application for Samsung Smart TV sets and Blu-Ray players. Developed by Phereo, an i-Free Group company and  Samsung Electronics partner, the new app is for viewing stereo photos in 3D on TV screen.

Phereo 3D Photo dramatically expands access to the world’s first social network for professional photographers and regular users, who are into 3D photography. With this network, users will be able to communicate, share images and ideas, and discuss the news of 3D photography.

The Phereo collection features thousands of images of pretty much everything: people, animals, nature, cars, films, travel and much more. The collection is updated all the time, giving Samsung Smart TV owners an opportunity to discover new places and see the world from unusual angles.

“The new app for Samsung Smart TV takes the concept of 3D content a step farther. Phereo 3D Photo is available to the owners of 2011 and 2012 Samsung Smart TV sets and BD players, which support 3D. Thanks to its simple and intuitively clear interface, Phereo 3D Photo can be easily used by everyone in the family, including children and older people.

Phereo 3D Photo is available for free download at the Samsung Apps store. Special glasses must be on to enjoy 3D photos on TV screen.

The Samsung Apps store constantly enlarges its stock of apps for Samsung Smart TVs and BD players.  The store currently offers several hundred apps from some of the top international developers, including Skype, YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, and others. The store lists over 50 local apps created by Russian developers, including the well-known online service providers “Play Films”, ivi.ru, Tvigle, Yandex and Stream.
