OREANDA-NEWS. August 24, 2012. The currently effective Rules of execution of cargo-corresponding documents ban any corrections in the blanks of shipment papers. Such situation results in that in case of any mistakes or corrections in documents they need to be re-executed and, as a result, shippers spend more time and transport vehicles are detained

The Ministry of Infrastructure prepared the draft decree in which the regulatory body propose to make certain amendments into the valid procedure of execution of shipment documents, to enable to considerably reduce time required for execution of cargo, contribute to decreasing over-standard delays of transport vehicles in ports and ensure a continuous handling of cargo in ports

There is an innovation prescribed in the draft decree: a person who issued shipment documents may make such corrections therein. There is another opportunity laid down in the draft decree, to enable to accelerate the procedures of execution of shipment documents: an electronic document circulation through the Single Data System in ports. In particular, the draft decree says that in case such Single Data System is available in a port an electronic document is preferred. A special-purpose workgroup shall determine the format of electronic shipment documents and order of their circulation, such workgroup being assembled out of representatives of port administration, ministries and state organs concerned as well as other users of the Single Data System

Therefore, passing and relation of the proposed decree should enable to optimize the transportation processes at sea trade ports and provide favorable conditions for the increasing activities of national international traders dealing with international transportations
