OREANDA-NEWS. August 29, 2012. The Agency of Strategic Initiatives (ASI), Russian Administrative Community of Presidential Program on Management training (RAC) and “Smart Internet” fund held several strategic sessions on board of “Foresight Steamboat”. During 6 days the work team that consisted of 250 persons discussed the existing trends and suggested the development projects on the following 4 themes: “City 3.0” (case study “Tomsk 3.0”), regional development following the example of SEZ “Titanium Valley”, “Tourism” and “Education”. Several meetings were arranged with representatives of regional authorities and local business communities on the way of “Foresight-Steamboat” along the upper Volga riversides.

On August, 16, “Foresight-Steamboat” participants met the local authorities of Yaroslavl region. Igor Elfimov, Deputy Governor, told about the industry potential and gave estimation of regional investment opportunities. “Foresight-Steamboat” participants together with representatives of regional authorities arranged the joint “foresight-sessions”, dedicated to industrial and tourism-production clusters in Russia.

During the planned stop in Yaroslavl participants visited “R-Pharm” pharmaceutical complex where they met Viktor Kostin, Vice-Governor, and arranged a round-table conference on staff training for pharmaceutical industry.

“R-Pharm” together with Tomsk Polytechnic University is implementing the project on master training of biotechnologists and pharmacologists “Academy of Pharmaceutical and Biotechnological Industry”, which is supported by Agency of Strategic Initiatives. “R-Pharm” has intensions for further expansion of educational supportive programs.
