OREANDA-NEWS. August 29, 2012. Specialists from JSC TITANENERGOREMONT have performed the works within the frames of preventive scheduled maintenance at the second power unit of Balakovo Nuclear Power Plant in compliance with the process regulation requirements.

In the course of work the equipment of automated process control system and fire -extinguishing system was performed in compliance with the checklists obtained.

For JSC TITANENERGOREMONT it is the first experience of work at Balakovo Nuclear Power Plant. The repair was performed within the frameworks of the contract for cooperation for years 2012-2015 made with JSC Atomenergoremont. In accordance with this document the organization is to take part in repair works at Rostov NPP, Kalinin NPP, Novovoronezh NPP, Kursk NPP and Smolensk NPP.

JSC TITANENERGOREMONT is a subsidiary of TITAN-2 Holding. The organization performs the repair, retrofitting, upgrading, assembly and startup works for mechanocaloric and electrochemical equipment. It also deals with assembly of construction metal items, embedded parts, metal structures, heat insulation of equipment and pipelines, welding works. It also develops engineering and manufacturing documentation.

Balakovo NPP is a major power production plant. The NPP is located 8 km away from the city of Balakovo, the Saratov region, on the left shore of Saratov water reservoir. It is a subsidiary of Rosenergoatom Concern, OJSC . EIts annual power production is over 30bln kW/hr and it provides one-fourth of power production in the Volga Federal District and one-fifth of power produced by all power stations of the country.
