OREANDA-NEWS. August 31, 2012.   Belgrade: Wizz Air, the largest low-cost, low-fare airline in Central and Eastern Europe, today announced that it will double its fleet investment at Belgrade by adding one new Airbus A320 and launching 4 new low fare routes to Basel, Corfu*, Oslo Torp and Rhodes*. In addition to these 4 new Belgrade routes the airline will increase 8 frequencies on the existing services to Brussels Charleroi, Eindhoven, Goteborg, Malmo, Munich West and Stockholm Skavsta.

Wizz Air now offers 13 international low fare routes from Belgrade which will deliver over 550,000 yearly passengers and sustain over 500 tourism jobs in and around the airport. This significant growth at Belgrade reflects the airline’s strong commitment in Serbian aviation with Wizz Air’s fares enjoying huge demand by travelers who previously have not been able to enjoy air travel due to high fares. Wizz Air celebrated these four new routes, which will go on sale today on wizzair.com, by launching a seat sale with fares starting from just 1970 RSD.
