OREANDA-NEWS . September 4, 2012. The Government of Uzbekistan will direct USD 59.462million to development of infrastructure of special industrial zone Angren in Tashkent region of the country.

Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan issued a resolution “On measures on rapid development of transport, production and engineering-communication infrastructure of special industrial zone Angren for 2013-2015”.

In particular, the government will direct USD 28.118 million to water supply infrastructure, USD 14.482 million to electricity supply infrastructure, USD 9.932 million to road construction, USD 4.26 million to railroads construction, as well as USD 3.568 million to gas supply infrastructure.

Within three years, it is planned to reconstruct sewerage system, substations, Ablik and Angren railway stations.

The projects will be financed due to funds of the state budget of Uzbekistan, the government’s resolution said.

SIZ Angren was founded on 13 April 2012 in line with the decree of the President Islam Karimov.

According to the decree, the special industrial zone “Angren” will function for 30 years, but the term can be extended in future.

The document said that the preferences are provided from 3 to 7 years, based on the volume of investments. The preferences are provided for three years at the investment volume from USD 300,000 to USD 3 million, for 5 years – over USD 3 million to USD 10 million and for 7 years – from USD 10 million.
