September 04, 2012.  BT today announced the opening of a Centre of Excellence in Bogota (Colombia), bringing together resources, professional skills and knowledge to maximise business efficiency accross the region in the fields of data centre and security management. The Bogota Centre of Excellence is responsible for developing new products, accrediting customers’ solutions through proofs of concept, spreading specialist knowledge and supporting other teams in BT.

 BT customers will benefit from improved service and from operational efficiencies. They will be able to more fully leverage state-of-the-art technologies and best practices across the region. The Bogota Centre of Excellence brings together highly qualified product managers, sales specialists and sales engineers dealing with complex issues and projects in the fields of security and IT/data centre services. It combines resources, skill sets and knowledge that are currently dispersed across different teams and locations in Latin America.

 The Centre of Excellence is located within in BT’s advanced data centre in Bogota.
