OREANDA-NEWS. September 04, 2012.   JSC Dalur has been granted the international certificates of the quality management system ISO 9001:2008 and the environmental management system ISO 14001:2004. The certification audit was conducted by specialists of TUV NORD CERT GmbH.

The certification activities started three years ago by request of the product consumers: Techsnabexport and JSC TVEL. Over that period of time Dalur was visited by representatives of a number of foreign nuclear utilities from Sweden, Finland and Germany.

The granted certificates (which cover both the production process and product supplies) will not only facilitate building up an effective management system at Dalur but also improve competitiveness of ARMZ as the ROSATOM’s mining division in the world market. The ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates are necessary when product supply contracts are signed with many of international companies, irrespectively of such supplies being direct ones or part of production chains of other companies of the Russian nuclear industry.

The ISO 9000 is a series of the international standards which describe requirements for the quality management system of organizations and enterprises. The ISO 14001 is an international standard of building up an environmental management system aimed at effective management of the environmental impacts.

In future, it is planned to create an integrated quality management system within the entire Uranium Holding ARMZ.

Dalur, part of the Uranium Holding ARMZ (located in Dalmatovo District of Kurgan Region) mine uranium using in-situ underground leaching technique. In 2011 its product output was 535.2 tons of uranium.
