OREANDA-NEWS. This was stated by Premier Vladimir Filat at a meeting with major exporters to Russia held in a context of preparing for the visit of the Premier to RF, scheduled on September, 10-12. According to the Premier, the recent Russia's entrance to WTO opens new opportunities to producers of Moldova, since export barriers on the way of Moldovan commodities to Russia will be removed. Vladimir Filat stressed that the government of Moldova is going intensively further expansion of the Moldovan export to Russia by conducting a constructive dialogues with the Russia party.

The premier thinks it of great importance for Moldovan producers to pay more attention to competitiveness of production exported to RF as for its quality and price. The meeting with the Premier was taken part in by exporters of wines, tobacco products, foods, representatives of the building, textile and pharmaceutical industries and other branches of the national economy. They discussed matters of trade barriers, certification of Moldovan commodities, customs clearance, logistics and transportation.

Participants of the meeting also gave attention to protection of intellectual property for Moldovan brands on the territory of Russia. According to the Premiers, the program of his visit to RF is very reach in events and he will have an opportunity to discuss in details problems Moldovan exporters are facing in Russia.

He promised that the Moldovan government would take all possible measures to have all existing export barriers on a way of the Moldovan export removed as soon as possible. Particular attention of the participants was given to export of Moldovan wine to Russia. According to winemakers, as the export of wine to Russia has increased recently, it would be helpful to have another customs clearance terminal opened.
