OREANDA-NEWS. September 11, 2012. Mining companies and their suppliers from all over the world will come together to learn about the latest scientific and technical developments at the 26th International Mineral Processing Congress (IMPC), which will be held in New Delhi, India, from 24-28 September. The theme of the congress is “Innovative Processing for Sustainable Growth”.

 BASF will present its products and technologies for mineral processing and metal production at booth No. 2078 in the Hotel Ashok in New Delhi’s Diplomatic Enclave. The focus is on innovation and sustainable solutions for the production of alumina, copper, gold, iron and nickel. Process-wise the focus is on ecological and economical improvements especially in the area of solid-liquid separation, tailings management and solvent extraction. BASF has extended its product range in recent years through the acquisition of Ciba and Cognis businesses.

Furthermore BASF will present its equipment solutions used for storage, mixing, dosing and process control.

 
“With our innovative products and technical solutions, we can help the mining industry to meet the stringent environmental regulations and to reduce the consumption of energy and water”, said Steffen Kudis, Head of BASF’s Global Oilfield and Mining Solutions businesses. “Our new global research and development center for mining at the Australian Minerals Research Centre (AMRC), which was recently opened in Perth, Australia, will make a substantial contribution.”

 An international team will be present at the booth to advise customers and inform about the latest innovations as well as the existing range of proven, high-quality products.
