OREANDA-NEWS. September 14, 2012.  Komienergo branch of IDGC of the North-West, JSC has commenced replacement of two transformers at “Zapadnaya” 110/10 kV substation in Syktyvkar. This is the first stage in reconstruction of one of the main feeding centers of the Komi Republic capital. The project estimated cost is 126 mln RUR. 60% increase of transformer capacity will partially eliminate the energy deficit problem of relevance for Syktyvkar, create opportunities for new consumers connection to electric power grids and enhance reliability of electric power supply in the capital.

At the second stage (implementation whereof Is scheduled for 2014) the substation will undergo replacement of two 110 kV oil switches and eight 10 kV switches with state-of-the-art vacuum ones. “Zapadnaya” 110/10 kV substation reconstruction is an item of the scheme and program for development of electric power industry of the Komi Republic for the period till 2015.
