OREANDA-NEWS. September 20, 2012. Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has charged to make a decision concerning the ensuring sustainable functioning of Electrometallurgical enterprises by 15 October this year. The Prime Minister gave relevant order as a result of a meeting on the development of domestic electrometallurgical enterprises.

"Not later than October 15 of this year it is necessary to implement this decision," Mykola Azarov said, adding that he even ready to hold expanded Cabinet meeting to resolve this issue.

Furthermore, by the results of the discussion, Mykola Azarov instructed to set up the Interdepartmental Commission for the Review of Problematic Issues in Electrometallurgical Complex and ensuring its sustainable operation.

According to him, it is necessary for each of 11 enterprises of electrometallurgical industry to solve all problems locally, as well as to adopt a common solution for all on preferential tariffs. "Within two weeks we need to take one common solution, but that one concerned absolutely all companies in this sector," PM said, adding that granting privileges must be approved based on the capabilities of the economy as a whole.

However, as emphasized by Mykola Azarov, every of electrometallurgical enterprises should perform the assumed investment and social obligations.
