OREANDA-NEWS. September 27, 2012. Clariant has extended its contract with T-Systems in Switzerland for a further five years. The contract extension runs until 2017 and includes worldwide ICT services and applications for the chemical group. Clariant gets a number of individual services from T-Systems, including global SAP services, desktop services, Citrix, Microsoft and groupware services, as well as support, maintenance and consultancy services, and works with the ICT service provider in more than 30 countries. One of the latest additions to the contract is invoicing. It also guarantees that Clariant can efficiently run the most up-to-date technologies and services in a one-stop-shop for the Group’s over one hundred companies worldwide until 2017.

"T-Systems is an innovative partner, which has already proven its consistency in terms of deadlines, quality and professionalism through its project services. T-Systems presented a very attractive service offer for further collaboration, and addressed our requirements with their private cloud approach", explained Volker Laska, CIO at Clariant.

Clariant decided to use T-Systems as a strategic service partner more than 15 years ago, in order to combine globally consistent processes and standardised ICT services with the development of regional synergy potentials.

Both sides refuse to disclose the volumes involved in this new contract, but it is T-Systems second largest contract of the year in Switzerland. In June, T-Systems won Georg Fischer as a customer, with a volume of around 90 million euros.
