OREANDA-NEWS. September 28, 2012. In August, 2012 the average rate on loans extended in MDL reached a new all-time peak and made up 12.82% p.a.
It declined 0.56 p.p. as compared with the previous month, NBM informs. The previous all-time peak was recorded on July, 2012 and was 13.38% p.a.

In August Moldova saw the decrease of the average interest rate on loans extended to legal entities by 0.64 p.p. from 12.73% to 12.09%, and the decline of the average interest rate on loans extended to individuals by 0.24 p.p. from 15.14 % to 14.9%. The highest interest rate in August was that on loans extended in MDL for up to 1 month to individuals and made up 18.52% against 24% in July. The highest interest rate among rates for legal entities and individuals was that on loans extended for 3 to 6 month.

It equalled to 14.05%, making 13.65% and 16.47% for legal entities and individuals respectively. The lowest interest rate was that on loans extended in MDL for over 5 years to legal entities and made up 11.5%. The lowest interest rate among rates for legal entities and individuals was that on loans extended for over 5 years too. It equalled to 11.89%, making 11.5% and 11.99% for legal entities and individuals respectively.
