OREANDA-NEWS. September 28, 2012. The delegation came to our country headed by the President of the Constitutional and Legal Committee of the Czech Senate Miroslav Antle visited the Senate of Oliy Majlis.

During the talks, the parties noted that cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic was developing in many spheres, including parliamentarism, an important legal basis of which served the agreements reached during the meetings of heads of the two states. Such meetings of parliamentary delegations are being organized regularly to further expand the cooperation in this field.

Relations between Uzbekistan and the Czech Republic is developing in the political, economic, legal, cultural, humanitarian, scientific, technical and in other spheres. Economic interaction between our countries are based on a number of agreements on trade, economic, scientific and technological cooperation, mutual protection and stimulation of investments and avoidance of double taxation.

Today, thirteen Uzbek-Czech joint ventures operate in Uzbekistan. A number of leading companies of the Czech Republic have opened their representative offices in our country. They work in such areas like food, textiles, oil and gas, production of plastic products and tourism.

During the meetings, the sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of the relationship between the legislative bodies of the two countries.

Members of the Czech parliamentary delegation held talks at the Legislative Chamber of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as a number of ministries and departments of the country.
