OREANDA-NEWS. October 9, 2012. A complex of works on harvesting of late grain crops is being completed at “NIBULON’s” production units.

At present sunflower harvesting is being finished within the production units. The maximum results are demonstrated by the following branches: “Kamyanka” - 31.5 dt/ha, “Romanivs’ka” – 27.1 dt/ha, “Pryseymivs’ka” – 28.8 dt/ha, “Chygyryn” – 25.1 dt/ha, “Kamyanets’-Podils’ka” – 24.8 dt/ha.

Sunflower harvesting has been already carried out on the area of 12.2 thousand ha which comprises 97% of the total harvesting plan in this season. 25 thousand tons of the given crop have been already threshed.

At the same time corn harvesting is in progress. The average crop yield by “NIBULON’s” branches is 75-77 dt/ha – taking into account the average yield in the Southern regions where drought took place.

Besides, at the branches of “NIBULON” there was performed control thrashing of sorghum. In the Eastern region this crop is being harvested. The current crop yield at the branches comprises: “Troyits’ka” – 47.4 dt/ha, “Starobil’s’ka” – 51.7 dt/ha, “Novopskovs’ka” – 41.6 dt/ha. Though, sorghum harvesting has been started recently, it may be said that the total sorghum yield will be high.

Harvesting of buckwheat, soybean, and other crops is being continued.

The peculiarity of this season is an early beginning of late crop harvesting in the regions that suffered from draught. Nevertheless, the agrarians of these regions as well as the Northern regions are waiting for a good yield.

At present sowing of spring grain crops has been completed in full. Wheat was sown in optimal terms. Besides, the weather conditions of this season were more favourable as compared with the last two years.

Now works on crop tending are carried out, plant protection agents and mineral fertilizers are applied, land for spring sowing is ploughed, etc.
