OREANDA-NEWS. October 9, 2012. Completing a three-continent launch tour, Wayne, A GE Energy Business (NYSE: GE) and a global innovator of fuel dispensers and forecourt technologies, is featuring its new Wayne Helix™ fuel dispenser line at the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) Show in Las Vegas, Nev. With more than 22,500 attendees, the NACS Show is the largest buying and networking event for the convenience and fuel retailing industry held in the United States.

Over the past two months, the Helix fuel dispenser line has been introduced to customers at leading trade shows in Germany and Brazil. Wayne will begin taking orders for the new product later this year.

Built on a single global platform, the Wayne Helix family of fuel dispensers incorporates Wayne’s state-of-the-art technology and security into a user-friendly, intelligent design. Wayne has developed the Helix dispenser based on comprehensive feedback from customers including distributors, retailers, technicians and motorists, who helped to shape the features, functions and serviceability of this redesigned line of fuel dispensers.

“The development of the Helix dispenser is an outstanding example of how we listen to our customers to design products that fit their specific needs,” said Paul de la Port, Wayne vice president of products. “In this case, we worked with IDEO, a leading design and innovation consultancy, to conduct extensive global market research. We talked to our customers about their fueling requirements, including likes and dislikes. This input led to many of the new, key features that have been incorporated into the Helix dispenser line.”

The new dispensers are designed and built not only to meet the safety standards of both the IEC and UL, but also to address a wide variety of safety concerns. From payment transactions to internal dispenser security components, the Helix line of dispensers encompasses security features to help deter and detect product tampering and fuel theft.

Along with the new Helix dispensers, Wayne is showcasing its Wayne Fusion™ forecourt system at NACS. This technology provides comprehensive forecourt control functionality, including multi-device and POS management, reporting and remote viewing of site activity. The Fusion forecourt platform already has achieved widespread success with service station retailers around the world. Wayne is featuring several new capabilities of its Fusion forecourt controller at the trade show, including mobile payment, media delivery and automatic tank gauge (ATG) and fuel management services.

Also featured at NACS is the Wayne Ovation™ fuel dispenser line, showcasing contactless payment options, the inOvationTV™ media platform, designed to inform and entertain motorists at the pump to cultivate strong customer loyalty, and the Wayne Xflo™ fuel meter, which combines revolutionary engineering and precision design for unparalleled accuracy.

Attendees at NACS also have an opportunity to learn about the CNG In A Box™ system from GE and Peake Fuel Solutions, an affiliate of Chesapeake Energy Corporation, which uses Wayne CNG dispensers. These dispensers incorporate Wayne’s leading PCI-compliant pay-at-the-pump technology, providing CNG-vehicle operators a familiar and secure fueling experience.

“The portfolio of products we are highlighting at NACS underscores Wayne's commitment to technology leadership, as we continue to deliver innovative solutions to our customers,” said Wayne Global President Neil Thomas. “One of the many examples of this on display at the show is the Wayne Helix family of fuel dispensers that incorporates tried and tested global components in an all new breakthrough design that will improve the fueling experience for motorists worldwide."
