OREANDA-NEWS. October 29, 2012. During the recent negotiations between the general director of JSC Vladivostok Air Mr. Dmitry Tyshchuk and the president of Korean Air Mr. Chi Chan Khoon, the top managers discussed questions of strengthening relationships between the companies.

In the issue of the meeting the parties came to an accommodation upon adjustment of closer cooperation in the area of joint airlines exploitation on the route networks of both companies. There are all necessary conditions for that: Korean Air has a convenient flying-off from Seoul and Vladivostok Air has a large in-Russian flight network, especially in the Far East and Eastern Siberia. It is necessary to synchronize additionally flight schedules that to provide the most convenient mutual connections for passengers of Vladivostok Air and Korean Air. In the nearest time the relevant documents should be prepared.

It will help to activation of passenger streams from Vladivostok to Seoul and further to the largest tourist and business centers of South East Asia. It is expected that these actions will lead to increase convenient connections and directions in number, passengers will have more extensive flight routings.

Already in this winter season, since October 28, 2012 the frequency of Vladivostok Air flights on a route Vladivostok — Seoul will be increased up to 8 flights in a week. The Korean party also plans to increase flight frequency up to 2 times in a day.

The history of Vladivostok Air and Korean Air cooperation counts many years during which the companies operated in the spirit of fruitful development of the international air transportation market. Today Vladivostok Air airline is included into Aeroflot group of companies, and, as we know, Aeroflot and Korean Air companies are the members of the one global aviation alliance, as SkyTeam.

In conclusion of the meeting the parties once again confirmed the firm intentions on consolidation of mutual efforts on further development and strengthening of the international passenger air transportation between the Russian Far East and the Republic of Korea.
