October 30, 2012.  TEO LT, AB, the largest provider of integrated telecommunication, IT and television services in Lithuania, became the first company listed in the Baltic States, whose CEO had been granted the right to close the stock exchange trading session at the NASDAQ OMX Stock Exchange in New York.

TEO received the invitation to participate in the ceremony after for several years in a row having been recognized for the Best Investor Relations (IR) among companies listed on the Baltic stock market.

Upon closing the trading session by ringing the symbolic Closing Bell, Arunas Shikshta, CEO of TEO, said that the invitation to participate in the ceremony witnessed the success of the long-standing and consistent work of more than 3 thousand employees of TEO and of the Company’s close cooperation with its shareholders worldwide.

Every business day of NASDAQ OMX New York, top managers of large companies and public organisations, as well as heads of state and famous people participate in the stock exchange trading session Opening and Closing Bell ceremonies. The ceremony held on Friday was aired live on the website of the NASDAQ OMX Stock Exchange, and also broadcast on the huge screen on the seven-story MarketSite Tower building in Times Square, New York, and on the world’s major TV channels: CNBC, Bloomberg TV, Fox Business News.
