OREANDA-NEWS. November 13, 2012. Within 9 months of 2012 investments into modernization of port infrastructure and technical re-equipment of the terminals of JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” amounted to 170 mln. rubles. 

Funds were transferred for leasing payments for equipment purchased within the programme on renewal of handling equipment fleet and for modernization of port security system.

Besides, within the reporting period reconstruction of railway tracks at the second cargo area of the port was performed. It allowed to ensure uninterrupted traffic of trains and to increase throughput capacity of the tracks at the territory of the port.

In 2011 JSC “Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg” transferred 319 mln. for the modernization of cargo terminals and infrastructure.
