OREANDA-NEWS. November 23, 2012. UTair has introduced a new flight Moscow (Vnukovo) - Kursk - Moscow (Vnukovo). It is to be underlined that UTair is the only airline operating on the route.

Flights will be served six times per week out of Vnukovo Airport to airport of Kursk, recently opened after reconstruction. Departure from Vnukovo is at 20:30, departure from Kursk is at 06:40. For all the airports time is local. Flights are operated on the An-24 with 48 passenger seats. Flight time is 1 hour 10 minutes.

Kursk is the administrative center of Kursk region, located 500 km to the south of Moscow. In September the city celebrated its 980-year anniversary. Kursk is rich in architectural monuments: the mansion of the merchant Khloponin (mid XVIII th century), the House of Treasurer (end of XVIIIth century), Sergiev Kazan Cathedral (1778), a former noble assembly (end of XIX th century), a former boys' school, the building of the city hospital № 1 (Denisiev’ house of XVIII th century). The architecture of the modern city has become more diverse: central streets are being actively reorganized.

UTair airline is one of the three leaders of the Russian air transportation market. In 2011, company transported 6.75 million passengers. In 2012 UTair is going to increase it up to 10 million passengers. Fleet of the airline is consisted of more than 200 aircrafts. Base airport is Vnukovo international airport, providing passengers with convenient connections to international flights of UTair and its partners. Airline has flights to 80 destinations out of Vnukovo.

Vnukovo airport consists of two terminals: international passenger terminal B with the total area of 25 thousand square meters and a new passenger terminal A with the total area of 270 thousand square meters, 170 thousand square meters of which have been already put into operation. Second launch complex of terminal A will be opened in December 2012.
