According to the Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics in Anhui, in the first half of the year, the per capita consumption expenditure of urban residents in Anhui province amounted to 7453.01 yuan, up16.6 percent, with the healthcare spending showing the biggest increase.

Statistics show that the urban residents of our province spent more on four basic necessities in the first half of the year. The per capita expenditures in clothing, food, housing decoration and transportation were 830.86 yuan, 2964.55 yuan, 225.7 yuan and 457.92 yuan, respectively, with a year-on-year growth of 11.6 percent, 12.8 percent, 50 percent and 35.5 percent.

The biggest increase among eight categories of consumption expenditure went to the cost of healthcare, which soared 33.4 percent to 602.02 yuan for per capita consumption, accounting for 8.1 percent of the total consumption expenditure.

It is noteworthy that the per capita household expenditure surged 30.4 percent to 22.74 yuan in the first half of the year, and the per capita spending on housekeeping services skyrocketed nearly 60 percent to 16.14 yuan.

In the education expenses, tutoring expenses stood at 81.36 yuan, a 38.7 percent growth year-on-year , whereas training course costs reached 61.53 yuan, a 42.7 percent growth year-on-year.
