OREANDA-NEWS. November 27, 2012. Belarus’ ferrous rolled stock output rose 4.3% on the year in January-September 2012 to 1.977 million tonnes, an official with Belarus’ National Statistics Committee told.

Steel output increased 3.6% on the year to 2.172 million tonnes. Steel wire output rose 3.1% on the year to 327,000 tonnes in the period.

Belarusian companies produced 69,800 tonnes of metal cord in the period, down 3.7% on the year.

In monetary terms, ferrous metal output in Belarus increased 3.2% on the year to 29.836 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) in January-September 2012.

Inventories of steel products totalled Br1.665 trillion (USD 195.193 million) as of October 1, 2012, 70.3% of the average monthly output.
