OREANDA-NEWS.  November 30, 2012. In November 2012, China Life underwrote its first micro-insurance policy to start its trial in providing micro-insurance services to urban low income families that lost only child in Nantong, Jiangsu Province, reported the press-centre of China Life.

This initiative was in response to the government’s advocate to improve people’s well-being after China Insurance Regulatory Commission issued the note on “Micro-life Insurance Promotion Plan” this July.

With its first urban micro-insurance policy, China Life developed a new model of micro-insurance services to low income groups in China’s urban area.
