OREANDA-NEWS. December 4, 2012. Mikhailovsky GOK (“MGOK”) (part of METALLOINVEST) has passed audits of its quality management system and occupational health and safety system, and been recertified according to the ISO 9001:2008 and OHSAS 1800:2007 standards, respectively. MGOK also passed an audit of its environmental management system in accordance with the ISO 14001:2004 standard.

The audits were carried out by specialists at the TUV SUD Management Service GmbH (Germany) certification body. Representatives of the audit company visited the Plant’s production sites and management offices. The auditors commended MGOK for its measures to further develop the management systems for quality, occupational health and safety, and environmental protection.

Commenting on the results of the inspections, lead auditor Ulrich Krause noted the broad understanding of the goals and tasks of the management systems at MGOK, the high skill level of the Plant’s specialists, the good level of organisation of the production processes, as well as the significant progress made in the areas of health and safety and environmental protection.
