OREANDA-NEWS. December 4, 2012. Ural Airlines exceeded the targets for transportation of privileged passengers within the scope of the State Program ensuring accessibility of passenger air transportation from the Far East to the European part of Russia and back. According to the information from the Federal Agency for Air Transport (Rosaviatsiya) following the results of the program execution in April-November, Ural Airlines have carried nearly 12 K passengers having used about 75 M roubles from the federal budget, which is twice as much YoY. The airline ended up as a leader in terms of privileged passengers growth rate by demonstrating a 31% growth.

Our reminder: as per the state program, passengers under 25 as well as women over 55 and men over 60 were entitled to a flight from cities in the Far East to the European part of Russia and back for special reduced fares. The shortfall in the air carriers' income was compensated by the state. The airline's Chita - Moscow, Vladivostok - Saint Petersburg, Khabarovsk - Saint Petersburg, Yakutsk - Saint Petersburg, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski - Saint Petersburg, Petropavlovsk-Kamchatski - Vladivostok were effectively covered by the program. The airline is planning to continue participation in social programs.
