OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2012. The second SKOLKOVO Startup Academy class students proceed to the most interesting stage of the programme – the traineeship in the Silicon Valley in the USA. The goal of the traineeship is to study the American experience in the sphere of entrepreneurship and dive deep in the world leading ecosystem of startup project creation and promotion.

The Startup academy-2 students are awaited by two intensive weeks in California. The students will visit headquarters of leading hi-tech companies including Twitter, LinkedIn, Google and Evernote. Experts and visiting speakers will hold lectures on entrepreneurship and core aspects of startup project management. Among them are: Sean Ellis, Fadi Bishari, Steward Guenther and Tim Harris. In the end of the fist week student will have an opportunity to visit the rancho of the famous American entrepreneur and venture investor Steve Blank and discuss with them ides of their own projects.

In the course of the traineeship the students will dedicate a lot of time to pitching and presentation skills training in order to prepare properly for the event that will be the culmination of the American module - Investors Workshop. At the event they are to present their projects to investors and in the end they will receive individual advice on their business strengthening.

As they return back from the USA the programme listeners together with MBA-3 students will participate in the Investor Day where they will present their ideas to investors hoping to get funding for their startup projects.
