OREANDA-NEWS. December 10, 2012. The Russian Economic and Financial Forum was held in Monaco, with Otkritie among its sponsors.

Forum participants included Marco Piccinini, Minister of Finance and Economy, Monaco; Andrey Klepach, Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation; Alexey Ulyukaev, First Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation; Sergey Lykov, Deputy Chairman of Vnesheconombank; and Natalia Burykina, Chairman of the Financial Market Committee of the State Duma.

The Forum was also attended by Irina Lisitsyna, President of the Non-state Pension Fund of the Electric Power Industry (NPF Elektroenergetiki). At the Forum’s third session, Irina, together with Mikhail Sukhov, Deputy Chairman of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation, Valery Miroshnikov, First Deputy General Director of the Deposit Insurance Agency, and other experts, discussed how the stability and capitalization of Russia’s banking system and affordability of banking services in Russia.

The Forum focused on combating consequences of the global economic and financial downturn, matters of banking supervision in Russia and Russia’s banking development strategy until 2015. Participants also looked at the current political situation in Russia and some of the legislative efforts of the State Duma, including its anti-crisis, economic, and financial laws.
