KR Venkatadri, COO, agribusiness, Rallis India, and CM Singh, VP, domestic sales, Rallis India, participated in the event as jury members.

IIM Lucknow’s Sankalp 2012 Annual Agribusiness Conclave, was organised for the first time on campus, and brought agribusiness professionals, academicians, students and other stakeholders together on a common platform to discuss contemporary issues and conceive path breaking ideas. The conclave also played the role of a medium for students to express their views and identify various challenges in the domain.

By participating in this event, Rallis India aimed to connect with budding managers and inspire them to think differently to handle the challenges in the agribusiness sector. Post this event, there was a panel discussion on ‘Business opportunities due to trends in agriculture’, in which Mr Venkatadri and Mr Singh participated.

Talking at the event, Mr Venkatadri said, “We are happy to be associated with the Lakshya case study competition at IIM Lucknow for the second time and are heartened with the response we have received from talented management students. We are charmed by their understanding of the agricultural situation in the country and the solutions offered. We are grateful for their support towards Rallis India in this endeavour.”

The winner and runner-ups were awarded prizes and certificates of merit by Rallis India.

Sankalp 2012 Conclave included panel discussions, interactive sessions with industrialists, case study competitions and other online and live events in which people from different organisations and institutions were presented with a holistic view of the agribusiness industry.
