OREANDA-NEWS. December 25, 2012. Specialists of OJSC KAMAZ substantially improved consumer properties of the ATZ-66062 bowser on the KAMAZ-43118 all-wheel-drive chassis while upgrading this vehicle.

The bowser made by JSC Neftekamsk Automobile Plant, a subsidiary of KAMAZ in Bashkortostan, is used for transportation, short-term storage and measured fuel dispensing, as well as in the retail trade. Such vehicles have always been popular among customers, so it was very important to modernize this model on the KAMAZ-43118 chassis.

The height of the necks was reduced by 185 mm, and additional arcs were installed for better protection. The hatch of the filler neck is made of aluminum alloy and has an automatic lock instead of three nuts of the previous version. The results are improved tank tightness and easier maintenance. The much lighter aluminum cap prevents sparks.

New cases for delivery-suction hoses have locks and containers for collection of oil drops, and are painted in the same color as the body. The ladder became folding, convenient and safe owing to wide perforated steps and high handrails. And the handrail on the platform became higher and folding for an operator’s better safety. The platform itself was considerably broadened to increase accessibility and security.

The dispensing box is much smaller with a good door (instead of two ones in previous models). The filter is now equipped with a pressure gauge. The improved vehicle features bottom valves made by the German company Sening, but, on the customer’s request, the manufacturer can install bottom valves by the American company OPW. The steel box with sand was replaced by a plastic one, which reduced the vehicle weight and corrosive wear. New wheel chocks with handy fasteners are also plastic, easy-to-use, and anticorrosive.
