OREANDA-NEWS. December 27, 2012. The Gazprom headquarters hosted today a working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Company's Management Committee and Aljosa Ivancic, Vice President of Slovenian Comita.

The parties discussed specific plans for the South Stream Telecom AG joint venture (JV) set up by Gazprom Telecom and Comita as part of the South Stream project implementation.

Background

Slovenian Comita develops technologies in the areas of energy and telecommunications.

In November 2012 Gazprom Telecom and Comita created the South Stream Telecom AG joint venture. Gazprom Telecom holds a 50 per cent stake plus one share in the JV, Comita – 50 per cent minus one share. The main objective of the joint venture is operation and provision of integrated telecommunications services at main communication lines along the entire South Stream gas pipeline.
