OREANDA-NEWS. December 29, 2012. Gazpromneft-Aero , the aviation refuelling business of Gazprom Neft, has commenced supplying aviation fuel at Domodedovo to Emirates , which is operating the first regular flights in Russia on the world's largest passenger aircraft - the Airbus A380.

Deliveries for the daily Emirates flights from Moscow to Dubai are being made following the signing of long-term agreement between Emirates and Gazpromneft-Aero in August 2012. The Airbus A380 is currently the largest passenger aircraft in the world carrying up to 518 people. This will enable Gazpromneft-Aero to raise monthly volume to Emirates by 60%.

Direct delivery from Gazprom Neft refineries guarantees product quality as well as allows highly favourable price terms for the airline.

Vladimir Egorov, CEO of Gazpromneft-Aero stated: "Today the experience our company has accumulated worldwide in supplying aviation fuel allows us to develop partnerships with major international airlines. I am confident that cooperation with airline industry leaders will allow Gazpromneft-Aero to strengthen its position in the world market and raise standards in the Russian aviation fuel supply industry."

Gazpromneft-Aero is a subsidiary of Gazprom Neft. The company began refuelling aircraft and supplying aviation fuel to airlines on 1 January 2008. Since December 2008 it has been a strategic partner of the International Air Transport Association for the supply of aviation fuel.

Today Gazpromneft-Aero is the leader in the Russian market for aviation fuel. The company's international network covers 89 airports around the world. Gazpromneft-Aero is developing its cooperation with non-Russian airlines.

Gazpromneft-Aero recently became one of the first aviation fuel companies in Russia to take out third party liability and environmental damage insurance. The policy covers all of the company’s global assets, with a maximum insurance payout of USD 500 million per insured event.
