OREANDA-NEWS. January 09, 2013. Golden Cup for Quality of Metallurgical Products was announced in Hangzhou, ZhejiangProvince. Finally, 11 products of WISCO were awarded the Golden Cup, reported the press-centre of WISCO.

They are low carbon hot-rolled wire rods, hot-rolled wide strips for oil and gas pipeline, low carbon continuous hot dip galvanizing strips for cold forming, construction strips with high weather ability for container recommended by WISCO Ltd.; hot-rolled carbon structural steel plates and strips,hot- rolled ribbed steel bars for the reinforcement of concrete recommended by Kunming Steel Ltd. (WISCO Group); steel plates for boiler and pressure vessel recommended by Echeng Steel Ltd. (WISCO Group); hot-rolled low alloy structural steel strips and carbon structural steel recommended by Liuzhou Steel Co. (WISCO Group).

The Golden Cup products must be in accordance with the national industrial policies and technological trends, supported by the advanced process, sophisticated equipment, testing approaches and complete technological standard system. The statistical analysis of data on product quality shall be precise and complete. The testing data of product quality in the large-scale production shall be at the same level compared with the similar ones worldwide. There should be comparative data on the main quality index at home and abroad, as well as sustainable qualified source of raw material. The two-year or more volume production record and complete statistical analysis of data on products are also the preconditions. A total of 133 products are awarded the 2012 Golden Cup for Quality of Metallurgical Products.
