In 2012 Uniastrum Bank’s Krasnodar office boosted its SB credit portfolio to over Rb 1bn, pushing it up to Rb 1.3 bn as of November 1, an increase of 50% on the previous year. In the first 10 months of 2012 the branch issued more than Rb 272 mn to the local small business community.

As well as its SB financing activities, Uniastrum’s Krasnodar office continued to expand its retail operations, disbursing 10 times more personal loans in the reporting period. As of November 1, 2012 its consumer credit portfolio weighed in at around Rb 229 mn.

Besides Krasnodar, which is home to the branch’s regional main office, Uniastrum has outlets in Anapa, Armavir, Novorossiysk, Slavyansk-on-Kuban, and Sochi, thus enabling the Bank to provide a broad array of quality services to a large number of retail and business clients, including, among others, cash management, foreign currency exchange, card issuance and administration, deposits, safe deposit boxes, retail and business loans, money transfers via the Unistream network, acquiring services, and international payments.

“We are delighted that our Krasnodar office’s SME finance activities have earned such high recognition,” says Eugene Romakov, Chairman of Uniastrum’s Management Board. Lending to smaller businesses, particularly those working in the country’s regions, remains one of our top priorities and we plan to continue developing this line of business by offering the SB community high-caliber service and new products specially crafted to suit the needs of this market segment.”
