OREANDA-NEWS. January 10, 2013. Australia will buy high-speed hydraulic presses from China's Anhui province, a local producer said on Wednesday.

According to the manufacturer based in Hefei, the capital of Anhui province, its products, believed to be highest-speed and most efficient among those of its kind made in Asia, were checked and accepted by Australian customers before delivery.

The high-speed hydraulic press is exclusively and indispensably used for forging high-strength steel plates. They can function as automobile components, which are stronger, harder, lighter and less resilient than those made by average hydraulic presses.

However, this technology created in Europe has long been reserved for a few multinational giants, whose products are highly priced.

In 2012, the Hefei maker developed its own production line for high-speed hydraulic presses eventually, breaking up western countries' monopoly of the industry. Not only does it sell products throughout the country, it also gets into the Australian market.

The home-grown press works at a speed of 700 mm per second, higher than any other presses manufactured in Asian plants, experts said.
