Between November 30, 2012 and February 24, 2013, the Ibere Camargo Foundation in Porto Alegre (RS, Brazil) offers to the public a unique opportunity to see the poetry of the brushstrokes of Giorgio Morandi up close. The Giorgio Morandi exhibit in Brazil brings to the country a set of emblematic works of art from the Italian painter who was known for his precision in painting still life, being considered one of the greatest artists of the twentieth century. The 40 paintings and 15 etchings on display comprise a synthesis of the artistic research of this Italian icon since his debut in the 1910s until the disputed last paintings in the 1960s. The exhibit of these 55 masterpieces of the Italian painter, master of still life, will take place only in Porto Alegre.
