OREANDA-NEWS. January 31, 2013. The Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan held a workshop for credit institutions on launch of the Cash Management System (CMS) implemented within the formation of the up-to-date standards of cash management program, reported the press-centre of CBA.

The goal of the workshop was to issue crucial methodic instructions on key principles of the CMS, which implies real time coverage of cash operations in the overall banking sector, and launch of a centralized unified database and reporting system up to international practice and its integration to relevant systems in credit institutions.

Mr.A.Valiyev, Executive Director of the CBA addressed the workshop and detalied the participants on projects implemented in the Cash block within the relevant Program, targets ahead in the strategic period, as well as possible contributions of the CMS to the banking system.
Mr.F.Alakbarov, Director of Treasury Department and the Project Manager R.Karimli made a presentation on interface of cash operations in credit institutions to the CMS, and advised the audience on the key requirements related to the new system under way.

The workshop was attended by heads of structural units of credit institutions on cash and IT sectors, as well as the members of the Task Force on the CMS Project.
