OREANDA-NEWS.  January 31, 2013. All regions of Ukraine are continued to host food fairs. Thus, since early 2013 has been held 4445 such measures. Where farmers sold 36 tons of agricultural products and processed products worth UAH 302.1 million. The largest number of fairs was held in Sumy Region. This was started by Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Prysyazhnyuk.

The minister recalled that in general for the past year were held 53645 fairs, where sold 422.6 thousand tons of products totaling 4.6 billion UAH.

Mykola Prysyazhnyuk also stressed that such measures are benefit as for consumers as producers.

"I recall that the purpose of these fairs – to allow small and medium farmers to sell their products as quickly and advantageous as possible to bypass intermediaries. Thus, the commodity producer can earn more and the consumer - to buy goods without trade margin", Mykola Prysyazhnyuk said.
