OREANDA-NEWS. February 01, 2013. Within the framework of the investment program, the power engineers of branch JSC “MOESK” – Eastern Electric Grids have renovated the low-voltage grids of rural settlement Nepetsyno, one of the largest settlements of Kolomna region, reported the press-centre of MOESK.

Low-voltage grids, which feed the rural settlement with the electric power, were constructed as early as in the 70s of the last century, and as far as the loads growth took place, they stopped to conform to the modern requirements to power supply.

Specialists of Kolomna distribution zone have substituted fully the wooden poles by reinforced concrete ones, hanged a self-supporting insulated conductor on them, installed the power equipment, which provided an additional transformer capacity of 160 kVA in the loads’ center. It increased the existing capacity of the loads’ center by more than 1,5 times, which has made it possible not only to improve the quality and reliability of power supply of more than one thousand inhabitants living there, bit as well to create a reserve for would-be consumers.

It’s worth specifying, that all the arrangements on the grids reconstruction had been planned by such a way, to reduce maximally the disconnection time of the household consumers and socially significant facilities, located in the territory of Nepetsyno: a school, residential school, kindergarten, water-intake facility, sewage disposal plants, chemist’s shop, department of “Sberbank of Russia”, several shops.

Additional transformer substation makes it possible to reduce a load on the existing transformer substation and to improve the consumers’ voltage quality. Thanks to the new transformer capacity installation, the length of 0,4 kV line is reduced, a section of the phase zero wires is increased, which promotes to a significant reduction of electric power losses and to the consumed load increase. It, in its turn, gives “the green light” both for new would-be electric power consumers, and for the existing ones, who plan to file applications for the consumed capacity increase.
