OREANDA-NEWS. February 05, 2013. POSCO offered the `1st Annual POSCO TRIZ Creative Instructor Training Program` to elementary school teachers throughout the country. The two-day course, which was offered in three groups, covered the core concept and theory of TRIZ through case-based studies. The course also received a great response for introducing the case of the `Chin-Chin (Friend-Friend) WiFi Zone,` a school violence prevention program, where participating students increased their communication, abilities and creativity, reported the press-centre of POSCO.

POSCO signed an MOU with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in December of 2011, agreeing to apply creative problem solving methods such as TRIZ to school education, and utilize it as content to increase creativity of students. Accordingly, POSCO made an educational donation offering corporate education materials and instructors to support elementary school teachers increase their creative problem solving abilities. Employees of the Productivity Research Center who stepped forward as TRIZ program instructors increased training effects by redesigning on-site oriented content so that it can be applied to the education field immediately.

Teachers who participated in the program said, ``The hands-on experiential training that can be applied immediately to the education field helped greatly,`` expressing gratitude to POSCO for providing the educational environment and content to learn how to solve problems from new perspectives.
