Panasonic Ecology Systems Co., Ltd., a Panasonic group company, announced that it will release a new bathroom heater/dryer/ventilation system equipped with a sauna-like mist function for sale in the Chinese market from February 2013. This product will also be rolled out in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Since 2004, Panasonic Ecology Systems has sold bathroom heater/dryer/ventilation systems in the Chinese market. The company currently offers a lineup of eight models, ranging from standard to high-end models, and has worked to create a comfortable bathroom environment, focusing on luxury apartments and holidays houses. The increasing awareness in China of the need for beauty and health has led to growing interest in saunas, and this has prompted Panasonic to develop bathroom heater/dryer/ventilation systems equipped with a sauna-like mist function. This is the first time for the company to sell products of this nature in China.

Panasonic Ecology Systems is aiming to penetrate the market early on by opening demonstration spaces where customers can try out the products and a special promotional website, and will expand sales by establishing an installation and maintenance system in order to respond to the needs of both newly-built and renovated houses in China.
