OREANDA-NEWS. February 12, 2013. This was stated by EBRD Transport Department Director Sue Barrett at a meeting with the Premier of Moldova Vladimir Filat. According to her, the reconstruction will be co-financed by the European Investment Bank, which will provide Moldova with 150 mln. euros. EBRD and EIB were requested for extra funds by the government of Moldova on September, 21, 2012.

The Primer of Moldova thanked EBRD for support the Bank gives in implementing important projects in Moldova. He welcomed willingness of EBRD to render both: financial and logistic assistance in modernization of key economy and infrastructure areas of our country. As for modernization of the road infrastructure, Vladimir Filat said Cabinet ministers to approve a resolution soon to establish inner quality benchmarks for projects contracted.

“Thanks to this resolution we will require for contractors to provide quality and guarantee for their works and meet deadlines. Thus, we will have leverage to demand for quality’, the Premier said.
